Hi, I'm Chris!
I am a people-first thought leader who is passionate about helping others become the best version of themselves. When it comes to hobbies, I can usually be found listening to leadership podcasts and audio-books, or working on a photography project. I also enjoy DIY home projects or anything that allows me to express some creativity.
I am married to my best friend, Kyndra, and together we stay busy with the task of raising our four children in Norman, Oklahoma.
The Story
Identity Before Impact didn't start as a book. While working as an internal consultant for a large organization, I found myself regularly having conversations with newer employees about their career goals and personal aspirations. During conversations with many of these associates, the question, "Where do you want to go from here?" was often answered with "I don't know."
Thus the framework began to emerge as conversations shifted from plans to passion, from passion to purpose, and finally to personhood (identity). Drawing from my own personal and professional journey, I began to share about the importance of a life properly built on a foundation of personhood and purpose. After several years of sharing this framework in one-on-one conversations, I wanted to bring this idea into written form with the goal of helping even more people live a life of fulfillment and purpose.
The book and the model are tools that are meant to help you on a journey of self-discovery. I hope you will lean into these concepts and do the deep work of self-reflection necessary to become the best version of yourself.
